Parker Marano has joined NIET as a Digital Content Manager with his years of experience in social media management and content creation. In college, he discovered a love for web design and development, and decided to pursue his degree in that field. While working in his previous positions, he was able to refine and hone his design skills further. He is enthusiastic about jumping into projects that need a creative touch such as graphic design, website upkeep, video editing, and social media creation.

Parker received his degree from Arizona State University in Media, Arts and Sciences (Graphic Information Technology) with an emphasis in Web Design. He is excited to put his efforts towards visualizing and sharing the wonderful work NIET does and growing within the role.

Why are you passionate about working at NIET?

While I've never been a teacher myself, I understand and admire the ways NIET is making a difference in the education field. During my employment at the university I attended, I realized how fulfilling it was to see my work impacting different communities. Recognizing I would be able to apply my skills in supporting NIET's goals in improving education across the country is why I became interested in the role. I look forward to seeing in real time the impact I make here.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to try my hand at a lot of creative endeavors; some of which include drawing, sewing, prop making, video editing, and crafting. My other creative outlet is playing a weekly Dungeons and Dragons game online. It's been a lot of fun to engage in collaborative storytelling while socializing with my friends.
